the true meaning of...
last week at a little party the topic of "the true meaning of crash" came up, me thinking that it was nothing more than a love song. but two friends, both of who are big dave fans, one of which has met dave three times, had this to say...."crash is about anal sex, think about the line"swimming in your ocean and in your sea"ocean=vagina, sea=ass"...."no, no no, crash is about a time when dave was all fucked up and was arrested b/c he was masterbating outside of some chicks window as she was undressing" i remember from storytellers daves discription of crash, which has some bearing(sp) on this. what do ya'll think?

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
you're friends are fucking retarded. he was with his gf (now wife) when he wrote that song. It was about her visitting him in the studio in woodstock NY and then leaving and him missing her like crazy.
The lyrics your friends say are about poop-shooting weren't even in the original lyrics to the song.
so I think that's enough reason to debunk both of those theories.

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": Dr. Peter Venkman: I make it a rule never to get involved with possessed people. Actually it's more of a guideline than a rule.

your friend misheard dave and was a tard...This song is about the worship of women, but this is sort of a crazy man. This is a bit of a crazy man. He's the kind of person you'd call the police on. Some guy sort of peering in keenly at his neighbors or something, young girl who moved in or something, he's staring and she's calling the police, 'You've got to get down here. He was looking right in the window he was looking and he saw me, I didn't have a shirt and he was looking at me, I didn't know what he was doing, and he's, it's right there.' So I wrote this song about it, rather than peer in the window for fear of being arrested."

Give a woman an inch and she'll take a foot. Give a woman a foot and she'll moan like a whore

he uses that to describe the song, that ISN'T what its about though. Steve Lillywhite and many others have been interviewed about the song and it was written about him longing for his wife (then gf) everytime she would leave the studio. He refered to the guy looking in the window to show the differnce between the types of love songs he had written crush vs crash.Coldchillin23222 wrote:On storytellers he says it's about that creepy guy peering through the window that the cops would get called on.
