I need feedback on Loop Pedals . . . .
My first question is, is there any loop pedal anywhere that I can buy that isn't $300 freakin bucks?
And if there isn't anything cheaper, have you who own one, found that is worth paying for. I know it would be a greate practice tool, but for $300?
I would appreciate all feedback from anyone who has experience using them.

Line 6 DL-4...I have had it for a year and still love it. It gives you 28 seconds of looping plus TONS of cool delays that are usefull for many things. I paid 220 new for mine, but you could probably get one cheaper. The Boss Looper is around 300 and I dont think its any better. It doesnt have delay, just a lot more looping time, but i dont see why anyone needs that much sampling time. I like the delay a lot because if you practice with it on, you will become ten times better at playing rhythmically. I also like that after about 6 loops, the first loop gets quieter and quieter until it disappears. This is nice if you want to change the direction of the song.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

If its trippy you want, i would also recommend a volume pedal to use with the delay. If you play a note with the volume down and slowly raise it, the delay will make it sound like a swelling violin. The DL4 also has a reverse function...Do some drugs and play with thatCBalvarez wrote:That line 6 sounds just about perfect because I'm looking to buy a delay pedal soon too. Cuz I want to experiment with some new trippy sounds if you will. Thanks for the suggestion!

if you don't want to "drop the bucks" on the DL4, go with a Boss DD-6...you will get the delay options and the 5 second loop...but if you want the longer loop time and the ability to stack tracks easily on the fly, go with the DL4...i have both...i rarely use my DD-6, but some people swear by them...get some Tim Reynolds and try to do some "trippy" acoustic looping (volume swells, delays, loops, ring mod, etc.)...just go to http://www.timreynolds.com and watch the flash intro...the tune is utilizing many of the above mentioned techniqes/effects...have fun
