Research Paper

Unread post by Boyd Tinsley Band » Mon Mar 06, 2006 7:55 pm

I know this has little to do with guitar, but I was wondering if any of you guys wrote a research paper on dave or dmb and how you went about it.
Its just a game I play, cause I roll that way.

What kind of research paper are you doing? Like, is it a history of the band or history of the type/genre of music they play? Or do you want to do it on an individual member?

I think a quality focus could be based on the idea that, post napster, DMB is one of the bands who are doing it right. DMB recognizes the power of the internet and how music swapping and information trading cannot be stopped. DMB wants their fans to hear as much of them as possible by encouraging people to tape shows and trade live vids. They understand that a bands bread and butter is live shows.
DMB is also cutting edge in philanthropy, not to mention they break down racial and ethnic barriers.
I think it is also important to point out negatives with DMB, particularly the fact that their shows are havens for drug and alcohol abuse for the underaged . Also it is important to note that the band are multi milionaires, which affords them greater flexibility.

Thats a good thesis...but DMB doesnt encourage trading videos just lossless quality audio.
