Cool Edit Question

Unread post by serialwired » Sat Mar 04, 2006 2:55 am

I just finally got myself an adapter so I can plug my guitar into my computer to record through the mic input. Only problem is I can't figure out how to get Cool Edit 2.1 (I think 2.1) to record audio from the microphone input device. Does somebody who is maybe more experienced with this program know how I can fix this so I CAN record? I'm not looking for any sort of professional sound and/or mixing, just some basic recording for personal use.

Thanks in advance!
Aaron

Can't say I know the guy. Any suggestions on how to get a hold of him?

Whoa now, just a little joke I'm sure....

Try going under options and clicking on "windows recording mixer" If you have your guitar plugged into the line in then make sure it is checked off. If you are running into the mic, make sure thats checked.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

could have helped you out. that was a quick post because i was in a hurry but it made me laugh. good luck figuring everything out on your own. you ask for advice and insult people that could possibly help you, good strategy. i think you came off more like a "dick".
