Practicing Guitar
Out of curiosity, how often do you all practice? I assume everyday, but about how many hours?

The only day that's gone by that I havn't picked up my guitar in the past three months was when I sprained my wrist so it hurt too much to play.
Normally, I'll practice over some scales and chords for about an hour. Then I'll just mess around for about 30 minutes. From there, I either work on original songs or cover songs for up to 3 hours sometimes.

i dont really practice as such , i mite play half an hour a day.. sometimes a lot more, sometimes less
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"
Depends a lot. Sometimes I might not play for a week, but I try to play every day. And if I do play, it's usually for at least half an hour, and most likely for around an hour.
Last year when I lived with a guy who is an awesome guitarist I played a lot more than I do now. I'm gonna teach the guys I live with now to play, though...but my hopes aren't very high that they'll stick with it ....

I guess maybe I should start practicing. I just play what I know and try out different chord voicing and progressions. These scales you speak of? Yeah I don't play them

How can you call playing your guitar practice? I can spend hours playing but I'de never call something like that practice. It sounds too formal

Evey Hammond: Who--who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what... and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
Yamaha Pacifica 112> Crybaby Wah> Route 66 American Overdrive/Comp> Phase 90 (mod)> Blues Driver> Boss Volume Pedal> Boss DD-6 Delay> Fender Hot Rod Deluxe
Maton Performer Series> Fender Acoustasonic Deluxe

A few people have said they "play" so many hours or whatever a day ... and to me that's the same as practicing. When you play a song that you already know it's still practicing because you're perfecting it.
Anyway like someone said earlier, depending on the day, I may not get a chance to play at all, or sometimes i get to play 5 or 6 hours a day. Sometimes you just get in that mood where you're feeling it and you can't stop playing.
