I liked that a lot. I thought the guitar sounded great. I also liked the backing vocals in the chorus. Solid job man.

Excellent song again, Matt. You're really talented, I still listen to Down and My Revolver, so keep posting what you make

"Chasing a Dream"

I enjoyed that.
Pro's: Great guitar, dreamy sounding that pulls you in...kind of hypnotizes you. Great voice, enjoyed the harmonizing on the chorus. Great lyrics as well.

My construvtive critism:
Maybe consider a second guitar part, maybe even an electric with a plugin that fits the dreamy sound.

Great Job, I love the the fingerpicking and that little bass note run is great. I think this needs a little more instrumentation but not much. Perhaps some filler sounds like an electric organ. I was fiddling with my keyboard listening to this and it sounded pretty cool with strings playing the little B, C#, F, F# run already in the song. Play with it, youre off to a great start. I love the "chasing a dream" vocal parts, they really mesh well together.

keep it up
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

thanks guys, as I speak I'm playing around with a strumming part to accompany it. I figured out the lick on the guitar and wrote the words like 2 days ago so it's still a really new song, I have so many ideas for it, still not sure where I want to go with it. I have a friend that plays violin that i did one of my songs called "I Know" with and it turned out well so I'm going to jam with him this weekend and see what we can come up with. I'm considering a chello (cello??? my sp. sucks...) because It would warm it up more then a violin. I'm recording a song for a friend this week and he's bringing in a chick that plays cello to play on his song so i'll talk to her and see what happens.

Ya I'm still playing with Lucas. He is a senior in college so he is gone at the end of the semester so we are trying to get alot of his stuff down while he still has access to nice equipment. Right now I'm working with him on about 3 different songs so we should have some stuff done preatty soon.

anyways this is really great, certainly better than anything ive recorded, so the criticism i have is it sounds like youre trying to sound whispery and peronal in the vocals, like youre cheesin it up a little. its still better than anything ive sung, but i think you have the potential and skill to make it better.

I like this sounds pretty damn good, very high recording quality obviously. I think this would sound toight in a special olympics commercial. Very nice job, keep it up.
