HELP! how does this transpose????
I dont read base cleft, but I do read treble. If I am looking at a note that is in the base cleft, how do I translate that note to its equvalent in treble cleft so that I know what note it is. For example. if there were a note in the base cleft that was a C, what would it be in treble cleft?

the C in bass clef is on the same space as the A in treble clef.
another helpful thing is that on bass clef, the two dots are on either side of the F.

JESUS CHRIST! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! My friend and I got some sheet music for Linus and Lucy and I can't read music very well and he plays trumpet so it was not helping much, plus the fact that neither of us can play piano...... Rock on, i think we are good now. The two of us are trying to play it as a duo thing kind of like "Heart and Soul".

i said no shit because you just listed the notes in order, starting on G. i probably should have said that it would have been more helpful to add where the G is on the staff and whether the other you posted goes up or down from there.bassman462 wrote:hey i had to figure out how to read music by myself, and it wasnt easy....im still learning crap. but ya, at least i got a good idea of how to read.i am sam2 wrote:no shitbassman462 wrote:GABCDEFG
just in case anyone is wondering, G would be the bottom line of the staff, A the space above it, B the line about that, C the space above that, and so on.

Remember that middle C is in between the two clefs. Its on the ledger above the treble and on the ledger below the bass: like in the picture in the previous thread. You can work from there.
Evey Hammond: Who--who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what... and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
