How do I go about making these louder. A specific example would be the song Butterfly.

its gonna sound simple//////////////// to the extent of taking the piss,,,,,, but press your fingers harder....................... if you hit the note harder then it sounds better and louder.
Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": As long as there's, you know, sex and drugs, I can do without the rock and roll.
One thing to check is the action on your guitar. I don't know if you are new to guitar or not but if the strings are really high, it makes it harder to do a hammer on. Also, its not enough to just press in, you really have to snap your finger so it actually "hammers" the string. So yeah check the action, and hit it harder.
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

this is true. i would say it is more the speed and strength. Fast to avoid killing the note, hard to make sure it is held solidly to the fretboard. obviously on an electric it takes minimal finger strength, but on some acosutics it is rather tough to get that volume.RunsWithBuffalo wrote:One thing to check is the action on your guitar. just keep practicing a lot and they'll sound better.
