That was a great tune I thought. the electric blends in well with the rest. As for the acoustic, wouldn't you want to heighten the bass a bit? I think it was suggested before.
Thanks Bo.

It's not actually an acoustic. It's a clean electric plugged in direct. As for the overall bass of the song, I think it's fine.
I bought some pretty good transparent monitors a few days ago and the eq sounded pretty good on them.
Unless you're just talking about the rythm guitar, then yes an acoustic would sound more bassy.
I could use me some of them.
I got these on sale, they're great.

Miguel, great song here. Very powerful vocals, especially around the 3:00 minute mark.

Now a little gentle criticism: I felt like this song was building up to a climax that just never happened. It was repetitive the whole way through, and I was just waiting for you to bust out and wail, but alas, no. But still, it's a great song, and I really liked it.

That's my biggest problem with it, is that it's repetitive. I'll need to work on it.
As for the ending, when I play it live I normally wail a bit but the night I was recording, it just wasn't working. Oh well enough with the excuses.

Thanks for your comments and the crit is much appreciated.

Love the bass coming in with the vocals. What I have always loved about your voice is that it is so professional, so quality, yet doesn't sound like anyone I've ever heard. I can definitely hear some influences there (Radiohead, Coldplay, Damien Rice if I were to guess), but you have found your voice and you are true to it and I can't commend you enough for that.

All that being said, I think this song drags on a bit too long. On an album, I would expect a song like this to be the closer; anywhere else I think it would hinder the flow of the album. I am one that can appreciate simplicity, but to justify the length of this song, I would suggest a little more variation in the rhythm, maybe some stronger lead fills.

But your vocals are passionate, and I've always admired how much you put into your work.

Be excellent to one another.

Brian, thanks again for your honest review rather than blowing smoke up my ass..as people would say.
And yes my lead fills suck, oh well.

Great job Miguel. Seriously, loved the mellowness of the song. Can I ask what kind of reverb/EQ settings you used for your vocals?

Thanks. Not really sure about the reverb. I just used the standard studio reverb in adobe audition and tweaked it till i was happy with it. Sorry I can't be more specific.
