actually i find it just about the same difficulty. somtimes i only hit one of the strings instead of both but otherwise it really isnt too bad.the floodzone wrote:That verse for Billies must be hard on a 12-string. Anything that is picked also must be hard on a 12-string since its more about strumming.

I just bought an Alvarez 12-string about a month ago and love it. I've been playing the guitar for over two years, and it gave a great new twist to the guitar. It also greatly helps your technique on the six-string, mainly because on the 12-string you have to concentrate so much on finger placement (getting both strings down), which makes the six-string so much easier to play. I say go for it! And look around your hometown for a good deal...one of my good friends sold me this 12-string for $300, and it's a great guitar...it has a great sound to it. I couldn't be happier with it! The only down side to a 12-string is restringing it...it takes forever! But it's worth it when you're done!

i can't figure out what my next buy is going to be. my b-day is in dec. and im either going to get an epiphone les paul...or a 12 string of about the same price. (5-700) i already have an electric so that makes me say 12. i also play acoustic so that makes me say 12 too. but my electric sucks and i want to get into playing the electric. so i don't know what im going to do. any suggestions
