Here is what i have:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... e_id/35499
(i dont have these, but what i have is a lil better, but out of your price range) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... e_id/35414 - get 2... one for sound hole, and one for 12th fret... you WILL NOT regret getting 2 stereo miking a guitar.
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... e_id/35413 - this is the industry standard vocal mic (i wont list mine, because it'll be out ofyour price range too).
hope this helps. i bough tform musicians friend,... good service.
dont forget to get an RCA adapter for left and right channels (the red and white plugs) to go into your line in. so you can do stereo recording.
My package cost $450... btu i got some christmas deals... the shit i bought would cost you about $760 right now cuz the sales are over.
regards,
x

that is what hte mixer is for. i have oktava condensor mics ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/sid ... e_id/59006 ) got 2 for $199 but they are liek 239 a piece now.
the mixer has a phantom power source. and you are completely right about plugging into line in versus a digital in card. i simply didnt have any more money to spend on a digital in card
i want one though. if you et one that works let me know. (im goin outta state for a few days. you can email me with some questions)
and i'll do a cool edit tutorial for the website when i get back.

Sorry, and for vocals, im using a CAD M37 vocal microphone... completely awesome mic. the sm57 is made for acoustic instruments... but not the best choice in my opinion.. however the price is good... you can get two for like 150

no i do not. however they have a live technician (i was orriginally going to buy 57's but he talked me out of it because of the sale) that can make some suggestions on the site, if you go to it and look around for a link that says somethign like "talk to a live technician"... as for the vocal mic, i paid $99 for it, but i believe they are running 299 now.
