Recording binge (SDL, Say Goodbye, and a few more)

Unread post by Jenns4Ever9501 » Mon Feb 06, 2006 2:16 am

Went on a 7 hour recording stint the other night, and here are the results. They're all posted on my newly created PureVolume site, http://www.purevolume.com/acousticexpression. I re-recorded a bunch of the songs I've already done, but changed 'em up, and did a few new ones. So, without further adieu . . .

EDIT: You can still get them at my PureVolume site, but I also posted them all as YSI links, 'cause PureVolume doesn't really do the songs justice in terms of quality, 'cause you know me and sound quality. Enjoy.

Anyway - Eliot Morris - Great song, kinda hard to hit those high notes without going falsetto. Love this song.

Collide - Howie Day - Brought this up half a step, and added a lead guitar line. Still kinda iffy about that, let me know what you think.

Say Goodbye - DMB - Completely re-did this one, with a lot of open chords as opposed to Dave style, and added a lead guitar line. Sounds much better than my previous version, in my opinion.

So Damn Lucky - Dave Matthews - Great song, hard to record, and hard to sing. Love it.

That's it. I also re-recorded Konstantine a half step higher, and SAWG, bringing the ending down just a bit, but anyways . . . Enjoy.

i just listened to "anyway" and it sounds pretty good. the only thing that i found was that there are random notes here and there that you are off-key on. other than that the guitar sounds pretty good.

Yeah, it's a hard song to sing, 'cause those notes can't be sung falsetto, it just ruins the song. Oh well, I did my best. Thanks Whitster.
