Quilted Ash?

Unread post by Lbacker » Sat Feb 04, 2006 5:23 pm

Anybody know what this wood sounds like, I'm bidding on a guitar on E-bay, its a Washburn that has gorgeous quilted ash back and sides. Just wondering what kind of tone woods are comparable to quilted ash.

yah, I can't really find any info on that kind of wood on the guitar either. I decided to retract my bid @ ebay just cause i was unsure what I was buyin. It only retails for like 550 or so I think.

Never heard of it either...but it looks awesome. I like the headstock more than the back with the quilted ash look.
