what do you do for a pickup then??? soundhole. i couldn't imagine going to an open mic or something and not using something that beautiful. well, guess you could just mic it.

To answer fatjack's comment, there is actually a hole there, I think there is in all new martins under the "35" line... I don't know why, maybe they expect you to put one in? Either way, maybe down the road I'll put one in, but for playing now, I think I'll just mic it.

martins are not my favorite guitars, but they are great nonetheless. congrats, im sure the pictures dont do it justice

All martins do not have the endpin/strapin inserted in it. You have to do that yourself. There should have been one that came with it in the case.

you were wise, sir, going with the d-28 and not the hd-28. I played them both, new martin strings on them, and the d-28 is just so pure, and raw, it's just great. I am pissed you got one before me, though
