Yes, first record the track you want to loop in the multitrack view. Double click on it so it goes in to the Edit Veiw. In this view click and hold at the position you want the loop to start and drag it to the place where you want it to end. This will highlight a section of the track that you will be looping. Push the play loop botton on the bottom left of the screen.(looks like a sidways 8) Listen to it to see if the loop matches well. Selecting the section you want for the loop may take many times if you don't use a metranome. Once you have the selection you want, select the edit menu then the auto-cue, and select find phrases and mark. Next go to the edit menu and select copy to new. Next go to the View menu and select wave properties. Select the loop info tab and make sure the loop box is filled instead of the one shot. Once it is click ok. Next you need to insert the loop into the multitrack view by selecting the edit menu and push insert into multitrack Next go back into your multitrack view and you'll notice a new track with an aero in a circle. This is your new loop. You can make it as long as you want by draging the bottom right corner to the right.

Hope this helps, if not let me know in this thread. Also check out Xoosh sticky on Cool Edit in this forum. I've never looked at it but it may be in there.

Hey Brian, can I ask how you obtained your full version of Cool Edit Pro? Did you guys all pay the $300 some odd dollars for the software, or were you able to crack it for free?
