i think the last post is a BIT of an exaggeration, but...
lie in our graves is a good one, as well as tripping billies and hmm...
im trying to think, you see i cant sing, so these are the best instrumental ones. crash begins to annoy the crap out of me when i play it, so i stay away from that one, but it works, especially if you start throwing in that fill like they do in the album.

Not true. I played America-A horse with no name, for a chick one time. She wanted it, but I blew it once we got back to the bedroom, and not American Pie style.
Could I have been dancing nancies?

How'd you blow it dude?

Also, just to throw my two cents in here on the topic, the songs I've played for girls that they especially liked were: Seek Up, Best of What's Around, Crush, Say Goodbye (they love this one), Captain, and of course, Crash. And when I say, "played for girls," I mean I'm driving, they're in the passenger seat, and the CD is playing in the stereo. This was before I learned how to play the guitar, I'm sure I'd have 'em all in a minute if they were around to hear me play it now.

Heh, I have a story. Me and my friend steve worked at this guitar store at the mall and he would stand in front of the store and play "our body is a wonderland" and "say goodbye" and I would play rhythm. This kid was a perfect spot on for both dave matthews and john mayer's voice so he did a good job needless to say. But he would have groups of girls watching him play. The only thing is, he wants to wait till marriage to score, so all that love juice in their panties went to waste, ALAS!!!

YBIAW

Unread post by keystone » Sat Jan 04, 2003 10:15 pm

This song should definitely do it, I am just now starting to learn how to play some John Mayer and Dave. YBIAW is driving me nuts though, I can't seem to find a tabs that works right and I looked at a video and I still can't get it (I am not as good as most people on here at figuring stuff out, only been playing for a year). ANyway I can get the main riff and stuff, but what are the notes he goes to right after the opening riff where hit hits a few quick notes and then slides back to the riff...If anyone could help me get pointed int he right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

And while I am posting this is the best damn site I have ever seen. later

I think the songs I play that get the most girls are my own. In my experience, nothing gets a girl going more than when you play something....even if its simple.....she asks who it was, and you say "Yeah..its some of my own stuff". Im tellin ya, play something simple you come up with and your an instant rock star to whatever girl happens to be around. If all else fails, bust out something obscure.........no......wait.......i wouldnt pass off something as my own........ ;)
