Weekend on the Rocks

Oh yea such a badass live album, I have listened to it at least 20 times since I got it on Thursday. Unfortunatly that is the two disc set. I want the 8 disc set but yea, its 100 bucks US and can only be bought from the Warehouse as far as I know. Anyone have the 8 disc set, or the two and want to comment on it. I personally love it, by far the best yet, Robert Randolph is just bloody on Louisiana Bayou on the DVD

well i liked it...i thought it was mixed better than the gorge two discer (i dont have either full sets)...but i certainly dont think its the best live release. central park, red rocks from 95, chicago 98, centrum center, meadows music theatre 2000, listener supported...id say all of those at least are better than the two discer...however, i dont have the 8 discer so i cant comment on whether or not that is better, but id guess not because it has these new SU songs, which, in my opinion, havent helped the shows as much as theyve hurt them

I think its a pretty solid release. No complaints at all. I just cant see why the SU songs are getting so much hate... Sure, they're not as good as some of the many many classics they have but they're not THAT bad.

Well, Stand Up at RR was actually pretty badass but if you'll notice ... BATSON WASN'T THERE :)

this 8-cd set has really grown on me. i think it is the best DMB release. the only one that tops it really is the CP bonus disk

it hasn't really stood the test of time yet though. it's in contention with CP

i love the 8 cd set. it sounds great and i think they just played an awesome awesome 4 nights there.

The DVD is great too it's really high energy especially on Louisiana Bayou.

I don't really like the release. The mixing is well done, but I just can't get into the SU songs except for the AB Intro.

I find that live releases just aren't anything special anymore... There will be a couple songs that are gems, but there are never any flawless live releases like the CP concert anymore.
