Greatest Year of Touring

Unread post by czech » Mon Jan 23, 2006 12:10 pm

So, what do you think was the best DMB tour year to date?

I started this thread because until people mentioned it I never realized how great 2000 was, but after listening to a lot of shows lately bored at work, i think 2004 might be the most underrated year. So many of the old songs were played so tight and the new songs sounded like they had been in the lineup for a decade.

agreed.

I'd pick the 1998-2000 option.

EDIT: NO 2005?!

2000 will forever stick in my head. The last concert at 3 Rivers was Dave. I was there. 3rd row center. It was the day before the 4th of July. They set off fireworks and it caught the band off guard and they just played while looking at the display. When they played "Stay" it started to rain. It was just a great show

I have to go with 2000...the LWS songs were brand new and still evolving and Everyday and Stand Up didn't exist...

I would say 99-00. I voted 2000 but when you throw in the D&T tour in 1999 I would say that whole period was great.

I honestly believe the LWS ranks right behind BTCS as the greatest album/work that DMB has done. I will take LWS over Crash or UTTAD any day.

ignore D&T, DM, and D&F.

just DMB tour. Otherwise I would have a much harder time saying 2000 as well ;)
