I think it's funny how when you see the band live lately, you can tell the crowd loses a ton of energy during this song. At the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, when they played this as the first encore, you could literally feel the energy drain from the venue. Not one person I was sitting near (and yes I was sitting during this song) was into it, and I heard many discussions about what a shit song it was. It was the same on the way out of the venue. All I heard discussed was how much ODH sucks and what a letdown the encore was. ODH as the first (or any) song in an encore is a huge disappointment.

You can hear this same reaction to the song on the Red Rocks concerts where they played it. Dave even says something like "were going to bring it down now...hope you'll help us out anyway.." or something. It's like he/they know that the fans think the song sucks.

Same here, Billies saved it though in my book.

True, but I had heard the exact same encore (ODH-Billies) on 6/2/05, so I was hoping for something else. I always love Billies as an encore closer though.

my first dave show (July 05) had ODH, HFTGH, and pretty much was shit. I smoked with this hugely fat guy though, so it was cool.

here's the setlist:

looking back, it actually was good. the OSW and DDTW to open were good, and PNP->Rapunzel was awesome.

ITS ONLY GOOD WHEN PLAYED D&T.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
