im fairly sure its not true, for three reasons
1 if your a friend of dave you wouldnt be on websites about him gossiping, and breaching confidence
2 if you have a work relationship you wouldnt dare breack that contract by gosiping about what you saw.
3 for all the writing what did he actually tell us, that its a four story house ex mill, thats in the organic food artical, that there are african artworks......well durr, and that he has a load of guitars in cases and some unopened cds..........well im convinced.
i just cant see the motivation behind this..... except getting attention

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

He didn't really tell us much at all and anything that gave the slightest insight into what his house is like we all could've assumed it already. Guitars, piano's, writing tabs, books, and african art in the home of a musician from Africa. It doesn't take a genius to figure that out.paulaitchison wrote:im fairly sure its not true, for three reasons

Well, I personally would love to find out as much as I can about a person I admire so much. Its not gonna change my opinion about him at all though.
But I guess I am curious. Maybe he was there doing some work on the house? If he did his job and left its reasonable that he would come online bragging about it.
He doesnt have to be a personal friend to get in there and that description didnt actually sound personal. It sounded like an employee's description.

Whats not organic food anyway? Cows are, pigs are, fish, potatoes, chicken, eggs, etc. They're all organic...

Well yeah, most people dont agree with me on this though.
We associate organic food with products that are grown without the imput of artificial elements- be it genetic manipulation, pesticides or hormonal treatments -, and we associate these things with health.
Yeah, sure, that works. But it is not necessarily true that it should be coupled with health. Artificially influenced products go through lots of testing to be harmless to humans. There are mostly no fully proven health reasons to not pursue this specific type food instead of "organic" food.
I just dont think that just because you use artificial means of producing food it has to be unhealthy. That is ridiculous.

Its why humans have cancer and arthritis and things that animals out in the wild do not.

Animals in the wild have the same arthritis and cancers that we have. Its just less documented because 1- they're wild animals 2- they're not suffering humans. They also suffer from a wide variety of other diseases that we dont thanks to our artificial methods (soap, toothpaste, vitamins, heart transplants). They also die in hunger, which is what we'll do if we think we can have pampered little cows instead of pumped up mass produced big cows with all the nutrients we need.
Research on artificially influenced foods is always advancing and theres always new healthier ways of making things. Even healthier than nature.
This is just my way of thinking. Its stupid to keep tending to animals and plants when we can safely feed the entire growing population of humans with manufactured foods (ie1 Genetically engineered and self sustained meat fibers (ie2: from a lab, not a cow)). Not to mention that we'd be able to stop killing the poor things.
PS: Sorry for hijacking the thread

I'm sorry but IMO injecting animals with steroids and hormones just so you can have a bigger chicken breast can't be good for you! And the term "organic" is supposed to be used for all natural foods (even though the FDA's guidelines are somewhat questionable). All that said I still don't care to eat organic foodaj1pso wrote:Well yeah, most people dont agree with me on this though.
