So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

...have problems with the strumming of Two Step.
I've made a little video for those:
http://www.angelfire.com/un/onkelbo/strummingTS.avi
(hope angelfire's not gonna kick it)

I started slow and speeded up gradually.

tell me if this helps or if it sucks, whatever..

Peace, Bo.

EDIT: The downlaod is available, check out my second post in this topic

It seemed a little off to me...but I don't have my guitar near hand...anyone else?

The page you are attempting to access has been removed because it violated Angelfire's Term of Service.

It's on again, check out:

I thought it might be helpful for those who struggle with that strumming and I never intended to show how Dave plays it exactly or how it should be played.

Don't worry man...I wasn't criticizing it....I didn't know how you intended to show it. I never said it was bad at all.....sorry if it sounded that way..all good

yea thats definitely the idea in the beginning when you play it slow, that should definitely help out anyone thats having problems... looks like you kinda stray from the pattern you lay down in the beginning though- sounds good though, what kind of guitar is that?

did you know that left handed people are more likely than right handed people to die by a power tool accident?

well, i dont think that was exactly right...

first of all you aren't strumming it in a double time feel, you are missing a lot of extra strums

and second, you change a little too early in some parts, especially the first time you move from that C to the F5

i'm not trying to be rude, i just wanna help out :)

you're a professional, get out of my topic!!!!
No just kidding

I think it's definitly not accurate to what Dave plays, but I think it gives help to those who have had probs with the STRUMMING though. I know that the chord changes are kinda screwed up sometimes...
And of course it's not to show how you play it perfectly, but rather showing the basic idea of the strumming. I did it acutally because it took me a certain time to get it. And I think I would have learned it easier if I had had such a video...
..Just to show why I've done this.
