Dave's Comment @ Prism Coffee House

Unread post by Lbacker » Tue Jan 17, 2006 5:16 pm

At the end of lie in our graves, of the 4-22-93 coffee house show, Dave mentions earlier that the guitars they are using in the show are donated by a music store. Then he says they were donated by specifically Ron Lessard. Do you think this Ron guy is related to Stefan?

Exactly. I mean they had to sneak him into the bars to play gigs and stephan was like 17. Dave must have gotten him soo high

I was reading about his father Ron, and it says he is also a very talented muscian. I can only imagine that Ron saw Dave's gift to bring great muscians together to play truly unique sounding music, I can only imagine that it was this that overcame the stoner, drunk, and odd individual that we all assume he was.

I wonder if part of the reason Stefan joined was the sweet hookups from his dad???

Im not sure if this was mentioned, but wasn't Ron Lessard the original Bass Player for DMB? I heard that he got sick and couldn't play a show so Stefan took his place?

that is the first I have heard of that. I thought Ross Hoffman or John D'earth was Stephan's teacher or something and he suggested to dave to check him out. Don't remember where I got that but I read it somewhere.
