O.A.R. is boring and always will be. One of those college rock bands that became famous similar to Hootie except for some strange reasons O.A.R. never sold out to the extent of hawking crispy bacon chicken cheddar ranch sandwiches.

EDIT: The way DMB arranges their songs, especially during the BTCS era (their best in my opinion) is top notch and is really evident when they play live.

OAR just sounds like any acoustic pop rock band out there. Nobody is reinventing the wheel or anything.

Musically, talent-wise even, DMB is a better band and has more to offer than OAR

IMO, dmb blows OAR out of the water anyday, no comparison. I do enjoy some of OAR's music but they do get stuck "in the box" so to speak very frequently, musically speaking. DMB is on a whole nother level of musicianship and creativity.

BUT i will say this. As little interest as i have in OAR's new material since theyre first couple cds (from the Wanderer to Any Time Now), i would listen to OAR's new cd before i would listen to Stand Up... sad but true...

I don't think they suck. I think that they are good at what they do. I just don't think that what they do is all that good. If that makes any sense
