alvarez makes very cheap guitars that sound really good. check out theyre lowest end models, my gf has an RF8, it was like $180.00 with a hard shell case. I know thats more than you were talking about, but it really sounds amazing for the price. It is a smaller body, though I think they make an RD8 thats normal dread.

I second the Alvarez - I've bought two and have been very pleased with them both. Great quality for the money.

I used to have a Yamaha acoustic that came in a starter package for $200 total...by itself (without the shit DVD, shit case, etc....) it was about $120 I think. It sounded very good, and played very well, for its price.

Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Ya know, I still have my Jasmine by Tak after like, 6 or 7 years now, it was my first guitar, came as a starter pack thing. I've since gone through a few more, right now my baby is a Tak EF341SC (the "Bruce Springsteen model"), but I'll still whip out the Jasmine every once in a while, and it still sounds great. Granted, I haven't put new strings on it in over a year, and there's no cutaway, but still . . . what a great "beater" guitar.
