2005 Warehouse membership package

In the six or seven years I have been a member I don't think I have ever checked out the boards. Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever checked out anything on the site except the ticketing section.

I tried to incorporate the idea of a " Random Post thread " over there because people will make threads just to say hi to one person. Or they create the same thread everyday. For example, there is this girl who creates a underwear poll everyday, as in, "What are you wearing today?" Instead of using the same thread for the next day, she creates a new one.

I bet they average 20-30 new threads an hour. Anyway, they got aggressive with me when trying to introduce the Random Thread idea. It's really unorganized, unstructured, and the lamest form of entertainment I found on the net.

i went on the boards for the first time yesterday, and i was just like, this sucks. it's the same 8/9 people posting, and it's just bad. they do a lot of giveaways, which i guess is nice, but it dosen't make up for the fact that it just is a crappy excuse for a message board

yeah, i don't post on the boards at all unless it's during a tour, and i'm trying to get tickets. in which case they are VERY helpful in getting good seats

Those boards are the fucking lamest on the web. It's a bunch of woman in their 50's flirting with the male members.

If anybody has a membership to the Warehouse, log in, go to the lounge, go to forum. Check it out for yourself, the threads over there make me want to puke.

Jason, I agree with you about the message boards. Collectively, this site here is by far the most knowledgable about the band and their music (probably because it is musician run/supported).

I'm guessing noone has gotten their 2005 package yet?

So which is a bigger waste of money? Chewing gum or the chance (however remote) of getting some seriously kickass seats?

hmm...i'm not sure if I agree with that...i spend time over at ants too and it's a great board as well, there is musician discussion over there too, although they are more agressive w/ regard to new threads being created and have some serious characters over there...maybe I haven't been here long enough to experience any weirdos or pain-in-the-asses, but whatever. both boards are good, though i'd definitely give the edge to ants in the video/audio download category, you can always find stuff over there. the ticket exchange forum is great as well. (sorry didn't want this to seem like an ad for ants haha)

as for the warehouse membership...35 bucks a year isn't bad for what you get...safety seats with the occassional real nice location, membership package w/ a cd and some other stuff (even though you have to bitch to get it sometimes), contests (which nobody knows if anyone ever actually wins them haha), bonus songs on things like the Stand Up bonus disc...i dunno, i'm definitely gonna keep it up...I figure by the time it's dmb's last show i'll have some serious seniority and get kick ass seats...or at least thats the plan :thumbsup:

if DMB ever announces thier last show, and it's planned as opposed to one of them dying or something, it will be next to impossible to get seats, let alone seats that are good.

but on a good note, you might get tix through the warehouse for that show (at least better chances that anywhere else)
