but to get back on topic, i've never like sat around a party using guitar to pick up girls, but with girls i've dated, playing guitar definately has been used to set the mood on certain occasions, and i can tell you that forget crash, forget #40, or lover lay down, or any other song, Secret by Maroon 5 is the best for setting the mood.

interesting quick story: this freind of mine, who is not the brightest bulb in the box, was macking on this girl across the hall. he decides that it would be a good idea for him to bring her over to my room to hear me play guitar, and pass some time.
she goes "can you play crash" i'm like, yeah. so i play it. she comes over, grabs my thigh, stickes her tounge ring out to "Show me it" i guess. next thing i know, we're making out and the guy who she was with is sitting in the corner like "what the fuck"
so my new advice to him: dont' bring a girl you're macking on over to some guys room who plays guitar when you dont play, and have him play her favorite song for her....not good things happen

One can't live all one's self, you've got to share your posibilities, but the more things you want to do for the sole purpose of achieving personal realization (either through music or someting else) the more happy you'll become.

Sounds good to me...i love playing for myself but I love playing for other people whether it be just hangin out and jamming, puttin on a little show, or playing for a girl...thats just me.
