Cover: Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter"

eh. haven't posted a cover in a while (not counting my last one, which was a flop ;)) and i've been listening to a lot of Damien Rice lately and thought i'd do a cover of this. if you've heard the original, i replaced the strings with light fingerpicking and i think i did an okay job of it. anyway, comments are welcome, as always. not the greatest cover, but i had a lot of fun doing it, so thanks for listening either way. ;)

i cant really say i liked the actual song... but you played and sung very well :)

there was one small problem, the pitch on some notes was a bit wavering, but only when you went to a really high or low note, meaning you lack some control. this was only very slight and isn't something you should worry about

7/10

ah, very cool. thanks a lot, Josh. pretty happy with my 7/10. ;) and my singing's always a problem...it'll get there, though (i hope :P).

anyway, thanks for giving it a listen, and i'm looking forward to your comments Appfro.

I would listen, but I am too lazy to try to download it...28.8

so, I will guestimate and give you a 7.5/10

I give you an apple out of 3 oranges.

(Edit: wow.. did I write that? I think I was drunk and trying to be funny, but I'm not even sure of that. )

yes dude. freaking awesome. i love that song. i agree w/ fatjack about the control on the lower and higher notes, but it really doesn't stand out really bad. i think that mostly comes from singing too low for your range. i run into that problem a lot. not really sure how to fix it. but again, it doesn't stand out THAT much.

great job man. great guitar playing. awesome awesome.
