Where do all the people go
Hi folks
This is my most recent original. It's sort of a ballad. I'd appreciate it if had a listen and tell me what you think. I'm especially interested in what you think about the lyrics (because I'm a non-native speaker), and about the guitar solo and your overall impression.
Thanks a ton!
Cheers, Boris

Actually, I like it very much, it's awesome....I've listened to it lots of times...you can't tell that you're not a native English-speaker...I haven't learned all the lyrics yet, but they seem really good as well..excellent song..solo = really nice, and I love the way you added the electric guitar to the last time you sing the refrain...I can't stop listening to this song...Gold wrote:I like it too, good job..
What guitars do you use?

For the rhythm track I used my Cort.
For the solo I used my epiphone les paul standard.

Listening now.
Nice little song. I enjoy the chorus the most of the song. Solo wasn't bad.
Overall, good job.
Life hurts so badly sometimes
people come and go, their voices die
awaythose who stay remain in silence
staring at the pictures standing on the shelf
Maybe, once again, I’ll hold your hand
Maybe I will come to understand
once that I’m away
Where have all the people gone
that used to be around
Where have all the people gone
leaving an emptiness behind
Where do all the people go? oh yeah
This place has gathered moss since you went
overseas to chase the fortune of your life
Maybe, once again, I’ll hold your hand
Maybe I will come to understand
once that I’m away
Where have all the people gone
that used to be around
Where have all the people gone
leaving an emptiness behind
Where do all the people go? oh yeah
Where do all the people go, all smiling,
on pictures standing on a dusty shelf

Enjoyed it, always nice to hear an original. Heartfelt songwriting. Sort of a Radiohead/Elliot Smith mix, I thought. The song really grows on you as it progresses and I think your guitar-playing gets crisper as the song progresses as well. The only real complaint I have is that the I felt the solo had too much distortion, comparative to the tone of the rest of the song. Keep up the good work and I also agree that you sing very good English.
