Too much with a bongo pause on the 2xx2 3xx4 5xx6 or whatever those three chords he plays are.
then just a funky beat on the bongos the whole way through.

as far as dmb, I would say:

say goodbye, 2step, ants, let you down (obviously), billies, lie in our graves, lover lay down. Really most songs that have snare/tom patterns as the main drum beat. or be surprising and come up with something un expected

grey street!.. at the gorge this year these people two camp lots down from me had a guitar and bongos and played grey street. it was awesome
