All i really got to spend on another acoustic is $125. I just wanted another acoustic to mess around on. I have my strat, my acoustic, my banjo, now i just want another acoustic. I've beaten mine up pretty badly. Just don't know if its worth it to spend just $125. :?

i got a jb player jumbo for 125. it was freaking awesome. i still have it. i have a martin too so it barely gets played.
great sound
played great
plenty of volume (cause it was a jumbo)
but
flat finish so it wasn't as pretty
and it had the tendency to snap the e string when i detuned for some reason

but, for cheap guitars, id give it a 10

I got a Costco Yamaha package for 155 I think.

I don't have any experience with other guitars, but people who have tried it say its decent.

Hey where do you go to school in san francisco? And are you from there originally?

To keep the thread on topic, I will say that I think a used guitar would be your best bet as well. At least at that price.

check out some local pawn shops. they have surprising deals from place to place. also if you want a new guitar i'd say minimum for a started guitar is like 250 or 300. but you can buy an olympia small guitar for 100 bucks. i'm thinking about getting one as a beater and letting friends sign it and maybe if i have a really rocking concert i would smash it on stage. right on.

Okay, this what you do. Go to a Guitar Center on like, the last day of the month. By then, they will be itching for you to buy something so they can get a knew shippment in. Great Deals. Look at the Guitar Center house brand, MITCHELL. My first guiats was a mitchell and I still have it. A very good decent guitar

Last year I bougt an Ovation (Applause) Model AE28. It cost me 260$ Canadian which must be like 5$ American  hehe. It plugs in, sounds very decent and holds its own unplugged. I'd recommend you save up a couple extra bucks and buy one of those, can't be more than 175$ US i'd say.

i've played ovations before and didn't like them. I hate the feel of the plasticcy back and i always felt like it was going to slip off of my lap.
