free shows to put on your ipod or low quality media player

Unread post by czech » Tue Dec 20, 2005 2:27 pm

For everyone posting, try and specify what format the files are in. I have forgotten to aon most of mine, but it will save downloads.
If you are downloading and cant play the file type, don't download.
If you have downloaded some of these shows and enjoyed them, please share one from your collection or feel free to just re-up the link for one of the shows you enjoyed.

If you are lurking and DLing shows, please register and atleast say thanks, we're nice people and won't bite.

And thanks to everyone who's posted shows in here or elsewhere.

+ Dave did not drop into the familiar #36 lyrics.
$ Dave butchers the lyrics, beginning with the 2nd verse, but recovers nicely for a unique Warehouse performance.

This is a great idea for a thread. Is M4A loseless though? If it isn't then I don't know if you should be sharing it. Tapers only want their shows spread in loseless formats.

i did that for a while, but honestly, a lot of pre 1995 songs sound so much better now. setlists may be worse, but warehouse, wwys, two step, all are so much better now IMO.

i'll get you some pre 95 stuff you dont have already since you host so much for us. it'll be a bit.

I understand their point, but they can also lick my sack. if 1993 dmb tapers, 1989 phish tapers, or 70's dead tapers heard them whine about this they'd be sickened.
sharing the music is what matters, my $3 speakers cant play the difference anyways.

appreciated. I guess we'll leave it up to kanter. but I either read the notepad file first, or i share what has no note file.

And unless they were the person who taped it, they have no right or reason to complain.

Actually my collection stops at 12/94. If you have any soundboards from 95-96, then I will be open for those. For some reason I cant listen to anything that's not soundboard or extremely good audio quality. I've always been picky that way.

actually checkii....this was an issue a while ago in the trader's forum. the tapers specifically say do not encode to a lossless media. danny and matty had a huge thing against filmdude when he started posting mp3 shows.

so....watch out.

Try sitting next to the drunk bitch while she is screaming Where are You Going at the top of her drunken lungs. To make it worse, Im usually shrooming or eating pot brownies which makes any obnoxious gestures magnified by 10.

Amen brother!!! I am glad to see that someone else here likes to enjoy the shows the same way I do.

About the mp3's..... as long as you are clear that they of "lesser quality" when you make them available I don't think too many people will give you shit. Like you said, they should be happy to hear the music. I for one will never complain about anything I get through the community. Thanks for the show

that's not the problem. the problem is sharing it again and again...and making it lesser and lesser quality.

I remember in 1997 I got shrooms for the D&T show at my school. The intro to Warehouse was the coolest thing I have ever heard in my life, hands down.

As far as the file formats of these shows, I would suggest putting a disclaimer saying these aren't for trading purposes as they are m4a's or mp3's and direct them to a link to where they can find the SHN's if they wanted to put them into a collection. But for the sake of just putting a show on a CD or an ipod, I dont think it's a huge deal. But, you would have to take that up with the taper.
