When he fucking screams "BAR...tender Please" that one time towards the end, it sends chills down my spine.
Those are two of the reasons I think the song is the best ever work by the band. Another is (and I totally agree with Nitro here) is Leroi's work on the song.

I haven't listened to the studio version in ages. Love the live too much.

This is one of the songs that absolutely NEEDS the band. All the songs are fairly dull just Dave and Tim but Bartender sucks when it's just them two.

I'm going to have to agree with Davy28 here. It's very good with the band but I enjoy it much better when it's just Dave & Tim.

The version from the Oakland arena show was kinda like one of the theme song for my freshman year. The year was such a bitch in every way, but the music I listened to was the only thing keeping me sane. That song was playing in my head all the time.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I hate that Butch solo they have tacked on it now. A jazzy piano solo totally goes against the whole mood of the song, it needs to go.

Roi needs to play his pennywhistle more. Hands down.

Haven't the foggiest idea why Batson didn't pull his head out of his ass long enough to realize that.

Oh wait, name one pop/hip-hop song with a pennywhistle in it!

Dave and Tim's full version is amazing, without DDTW after it. Check out 5-5-03. The outro is one of the best.

carter plays bartender so well, I mean daves vocals and leroi's work direct the song but carter's parts are so awesome

4.7.02 is the best version IMO, the improv'ed lyrics are amazing.
