I wanna make a mix of some of dave's stuff for my girlfriend, and I want to add some live stuff. Although I find those versions superior, she hates the cheering at the end. Is there anywhere I can find some software to edit and cut the cheering ends off mp3s?

If you have Cool Edit Pro 2.0, you can import the mp3 file and do whatever you want to it.

you can download a bunch of different trials of mp3 editors, splitters, cutters, whatever they're called and just use that for now.

Yeah, I got a cool edit trial. It works pretty good, although it only allows me to save 60 secs worth of mp3 music per file. Too bad I found a nice little loophole, saving files as wav. Burn them onto the mix and delete them as soon as I do.
