Songs growing on you

Unread post by mlb1399 » Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:53 am

Captain and Fool to Think are really growing on me lately. I think Captain could be one of Dave's best compositions. In both cases I'm talking about D&T style or just pure accoustic. Fool to Think blows me away and could be one of the best guitar sounding riffs Dave has come up with. They are starting to creep up and become some of my favorites.

What about you? Do you like them? Other songs growing on you.

I first heard captain in the late 90's from a bootleg I bought at a Philly Stadium show. I really liked that song alot back then but stopped listening to it. I probably haven't heard that song in 4 years or so.

I've always loved FTK.

FTT just hit me once when listening to live at Benoroya hall. Just blew me away, ad the lyrics are awesome.
I hold it just below the stone.

Busted Stuff has been growing on me a ton out of nowhere. That song for some reason just sounds great to me now.

For me FTT=The Stone

I know what you mean about that song. That version on Lost Accousitcs is sweet. I was thinking about putting that song down to but that would have lead to a few others that have been growing on me like Grace is Gone and Digging a Ditch.

Dude if you want a BnP I can hook you up. I would suggest 10-24-02(Beyanaroo Hall) and 3-22-3.

3-22-3 is pretty sweet Dave & Tim

2 When the World Ends outro
3 Captain
4 Satellite
5 Fool To Think
6 Where Are You Going?
7 Jimi Thing
8 What Will Become of Me?
9 Everyday #36 outro
10 Pay For What You Get
11 The Stone
12 Grace Is Gone
13 Gravedigger
14 Impermanence
15 Big Eyed Fish
16 Two Step
17 Crush
18 Don't Drink the Water
19 One Sweet World
20 Kundalini Bonfire
21 Cry Freedom
22 Lie In Our Graves
23 Grey Street
24 Ants Marching
25 I'll Back You Up
26 Dancing Nancies

I quit listening to DMB for the time being, probably havent listened to them in 3 weeks or so. But, the last song I remember me overlooking was RAVEN.

Too me, it has some of the best lyrics Dave ever wrote. I too got acquainted to this song through Benoroya.

Im going to have to disagree with you on that one. I didnt like the video quality and the sound was kind of distorted. Are there two versions of this?
