"the lovley ladies"
i just watched the folsom field dvd, i never took to it as much as LS and CP but,
wow, those women are so damn good.
the angel jam they do is superb, especially the one in the middle.
its one of those jaw dropingly great dmb moments that makes me remember why i think they are the best band ever! (there ability to incorporate and work off guests is amazing.)
just wondering
who actually are they, and how did they come to pair up with dmb

Gervais on Rosa Parks "she was arrested but then that law was changed- but she didnt stop there, she started sitting in the seats saved for disabled people. unbelavable, she talked to the driver when the bus was in motion- did she have the correct change ready? - did she bollox!"

They are good in Angel & Stay, but that's about it. I could care less if they were on the tour, they dont really bring anythying to the show, nor do they take anythign away from it. I have no clue of their origins.paulaitchison wrote:i just watched the folsom field dvd, i never took to it as much as LS and CP but,

I like them on granny as well.
On LS, their names are
Tawatha Agee, Brenda White-King, and Chinah Bess.
On Folsom, Chinah is replaced by Cindy Mizell.
I probably butched their names, but oh well.

Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

i think they are great, agreed they should be used in moderation, 3 songs per day max but did be so hyped if they came out to a show a was watching.
i normally dont like it when bands have backing singers, its normally a sign of the singer losing his voice........ but angel, 36 and stay are great.
they seem to gel so well and i love the tradition of early african american gosple and its boundless influences in modern music,
i guess it just adds another spice to the mixing pot.
(then again....... no number of ladies could out do tim, the best guest by far)
