yea i dont understand why they don't just produce it themselves either. Screw listening to other people.
I mean really. Doesn't Dave have his own like recording company? i dont know if he produces for other artists or something I thought he did.
Plus they havn't done it before so it would be fresh and a new idea since thats what the band is trying to do is be open to new ideas and try new things.
I wish Dave/members of the band really did browse this site but in reality I'm sure they don't

It seems theres too much concern with everyone outside of the band affecting the band so much. While producers and guests can be very beneficial I think the band needs to be more concerned with their own contributions to their music.
By this I mean, like what you guys say, the band needs to work from within itself to make great songs (ie songs from the 04 tour, including loving wings) not be affected by producers and such

I think the band is capable of doing just that. But winging it after four years of relative band disunity and working without the rudder of a producer, I think the band considered that taking too much of a chance. Now that the band knows they can all contribute and make cool music on their own (as evidenced by the improvement of many of the SU songs live) I think they now have the confidence to do it themselves.carter29 wrote:It seems theres too much concern with everyone outside of the band affecting the band so much.
