But the new Rolling Stone says Robert Randolph is joining DMB and Batson in the studio in January for the new sessions

I really could care less if RR is on the next album or not. He adds a ton of energy to the live show, but as far as adding any kind of musical contribution or complementing the members of the band, Timmy or Bela would be much better. Just listen to Bayou at Red Rocks. Its fun to watch for sure, but if you actually listen to the song he adds nothing musically. Its just him rocking out playing jumbled notes that, in all honestly, don't sound very good. Maybe he will be different in the studio, but if they are going to bring any guests in then they should bring in Tim, Bela or even Rashawn before Randolph since they are able to add something that actually makes the band sound better.

no. it says he's going to work with Dave Matthews Band producer Mark Batson in making his new album. it's confusingly written.
