This Day in DMB History

Unread post by Mikey » Mon Dec 12, 2005 11:38 am

This is the thread where we discuss stuff that happened on this date in a previous year.

12.12.05-
On this date two years ago, Dave and Friends played their first show. It was at the Bryce Jordan Center at Penn State. I was there, and it was an incredible show. My first time seeing Dave and Tim, plusd a suurb performance by Dave, Trey, Tim and the gang. Hey Bulldog and Will it Go Round in Circles were ridiculous.

Setlist here:
http://www.dmbalmanac.com/TourShowSet.a ... where=2003

-on a side note, im looking for a copy of this show, and if anyone has is i will be willing to trade, and extremely appriciative

That's very typical of an MSG show. It's usually Christmas song followed by something upbeat.

My goodness that is a fucking great show. I think that would be my exact setlist if i had to make one. Encore is ok, but he really had no good closing songs left to play since he already played em. and Mr. Warren Hayes definately spiced up Watchtower.

*looks to DL show*

Definitely a great setlist. I could do without the encore and closer but besides that a really good show.

I miss the heartbeat intro so much.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

IM not sure what oyare trying to say. Typical doesn't mean everytime, a majority of their winter shows at MSG have included Christmas Song & a faster song following it.
