So here I am...bored...nothing to do. Decided to pick up the bass and record something, heh. It's only WWYS...nothing impressive at all, but I figure someone might be crazy enough to want to hear it.
It was recorded on my Yamaha BB404. Gotta love natural finish on a bass...so true.

Oh, and don't use any EQ setting w/ low end boost, cause then it'll sound pretty distorted.

Neat, but it sorta answers the question on why there aren't alot of solo bass acts.

Sucks that we get so little respect when we're so important...*sigh*. Whatever, least I'm not some flash-in-the-pan guitarist who thinks a solo is 2 notes buried under a wah...

Hate that so much when guitarists think they're so good yet can't play for crap. But I still haven't found a clueless bassist...

Yeah, def didn't add any fills. Was more an experiement on recording levels and such. Plus, I haven't been playing THAT long anyways...
I am better than what's posted...the problem is trying to get a decent recording of such.

I thought it sounded really solid. Actually was a lot of fun to listen to. The recording sounded awesome. Good levels/EQ and nice and clean. I just started fooling around with bass and this makes it clear I have a lot to learn. Is this done with a pick or fingers?

What's a pick?
Heh, I use my fingers only. I never felt comfortable w/ a pick, and since my hands sweat a ton, it tends to slide away from me when I do use it. If I need to play a chord, I usually swipe it with my index finger's nail.
Thanks for the input everyone. Maybe my next recording will be an original, hehe.
