If I ever own a squire, I would be using it for target practice with my missle launcher. I wouldn't even pay 80 bucks for a target practice squire. If it's a squire, don't get it, they are horrible.
Bias much???
I got a 1993 or 94 squier when I was 15yrs old. I paid $125 for the guitar, a case, and a dope ass little retro tube amp. I got it cause it was all i could afford. I brought it into the dixie land jazz band that I was playing with. The guitar instructer almost shit himself on how good it sounded for a squier. He'd played his clapton signature strat (from the early 70's?) and, of course it didn't play or sound like his, he was still really impressed none the less. I still have it, and it still sounds great. Except for the fact that the necck is starting to bow, the cheap peice of shit.

That's oinone of the problems with squires. Also, there tends to be static, even if it sounds good. Also, it is very cheaply built, and so that it will have problems in just under a year.
