The songs are incomplete, it was never released, dave pisses and moans his way through half of the songs, they are all still very rough. They aren't polished at all. The reason BTCS is so good is the production is absolutely perfect. It's just a pleasure to listen to for most. LWS is just dreary. I agree with you that they were on their way to making a great album, but the songs are not finished. Listen to Raven, Captain, Monkey Man, Grey Street, etc. Just rough. Fun to listen to, definatley, but not mindblowing like BTCS. I also think another reason so many people have a boner for it is because it retains the allure that it's out of our reach. It's like people want what they can't have. Just my money.Nitro1515 wrote:Yeah because they certaintly weren't on their way to making a great album there or anything.i like tictacs wrote:He said favorite album, not crippled hackjob.Nitro1515 wrote:The Lillywhite Sessions
I see what your saying, and your right there is a certain allure to it since there is such a mystery to what exactly happened during the recording process. I wish there was a way to mix the good from the LWS with the good from Busted Stuff, that would be a perfect album.i like tictacs wrote:The songs are incomplete, it was never released, dave pisses and moans his way through half of the songs, they are all still very rough. If JTR was on busted stuff I think it hands down would be the best for everyone. Busted Stuff is my #1 because I love how it is mixed. Lots of Stefan and Carter, which I guess people hate on studio releases but love to death live.Czech Norris wrote:i thought Busted Stuff was 100x than the same material that appeared on LWS. I mean, if JTR was on Busted Stuff I would hail it as a much greater album.
