Ugh, that is so annoying. If anything, the bonus disc sucks, Joy Ride (studio version) blows. Typical, Crash, and Recently are just par. The 04' summer songs are good, but heard before and the Mark and Carter jam is just decent, nothing spectacular. Trouble With You is good, but it belongs on SU so eh, stop saying that's the only thing you liked about SU, this is a positive thread about the CD, not a "I'm a little bitch (dare I say?) fan boy".

If you read my other post you would see that I do like some of the actual CD. And how exactly does liking the live bonus disc and studio joyride/trouble with you make me a little bitch fan boy?

It's just like bitching about no synth drums and lack of guitar riffs... just get over it.

Edit: I am contradicting what I said over in Dave's Guitar but I myself am sick of hearing people (including me) complain about those things.

Roi's tone on stolen away is amazing.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

I like the part in ODH when the violin comes in and the song gets all spacey right before "Just a kisss......"

I actually saw the Recently live from the bonus disc. Great version of that song.

I think Stand up is pretty decent, even though it needed more time. If the songs SU, SAWG, and Stolen Away were replaced with: Sugar Will, Joy Ride, and Crazy Easy it would be damn good.

Sugar will would be crazy if produced correctly. It could start off all dark, then get all light and jazzy toward the end. Hopefully it shows up at some point.

I really don't dislike it that much...but it is one of the three weakest songs on the album in my opinion. In keeping things positive, here's what my ideal stand up would be:

1)Dreamgirl
2)Old Dirt Hill
3)Joy Ride
4)She Said (name for the longer AB intro played live)
5)American Baby
6)Smooth Rider
7)Everybody Wake Up (longer end jam, summer '05)
8)Out of My Hands
9)Crazy Easy
10)Hello Again (Summer 2004)
11)Louisiana Bayou
12)Sugar Will
13)Stand Up (for it)
14)Hunger for the Great Light

I left out GGT because I'm not sure how well it would translate to the album. I also slightly changed the track order by moving SU toward the end, I think it would go well after SW.

listening to a lot of the songs on teh album has me tapping my foot, hand, humming along recently. I liked the album to begin with, not the best thing but I liked it, and now each day I like it more actually.

stand up has grown on me a lot,
theres a great song in "she said", amb intro.....they just need more time to create .
no one can help loving american baby,
the live bayou rool sand is so perfect for guests.
stand up with dave and tim is evolving nicley.
the end jam on everybody wake up is worth waiting for......
im loving to sing and play smooth rider, its very cool.
i skip hunger, but at randles that felt like a true rock song......
ive had pre marital relations to (and slightly because of dreamgirl, love rois outro.)

oh yeah and the bonus disk ruled.........

ive changed my mind on this album

its not there best but i still like and respect it.

ps....... when everyday came out, so many people hated it.
now what you are is a show highlight, space between known by everyone, so right = so tight

love it
