have any of you really looked over the setlists from this past summer and so far for the fall/winter? sure the SU songs make up the largest single percentage of songs played, but they play a majority of non-SU songs every single show. variety is what has kept this band around for almost 15 years and is what has allowed them to grow as a band.

if you think the setlists suck, or the music sucks, or the new album blows, fine. stop listening and leave it be, it's not 1994 anymore

IT IS THREE SHOWS INTO THE TOUR. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TOUR. Every tour someone finds a way to bitch how the first three sets are similar, or have some rough spots. And by the end of the tour, everyone is all 'ohmigod great set.'
Not only the first three shows, It has been happening since the first show this last summer
You cannot seriously sit there and tell me that this summer was lacking variety or creativity.

I agree there, but now, its gone, gone for another decade. fuck, i will admit im not a huge fan of Stand Up but i like some songs. They just need to realize they did their promotional tour last summer. Now the "Good" songs from that album are sposed to stick around. If they consider ODH good, then i dont know what song they would consider bad. ODH is the shittiest song ever made. i would rather hear mother fucking father than that shit. When i first listened to that on the album, I thought i was hearing nsync or backstreet boys. Dont "bring that shit back to me again", cause it fucking sucks..

What happened to Last Stop, IBYU, PFWYG, Cry Freedom, So Right? I dont understand. My Last 4 Show were both nights at Alpine, Target Center this winter, Along with the Qwest Center in omaha. EVERY fucking show ive heard Dreamgirl and hunger....If my next show i hear "oh great light" or the depressing "yaaaaa ya ya" im walking out.

Someone's got a lot of anger.

And yes, Dream Girl, ODH, and Hunger blow cock.

yeah, i'm going to two DMB shows this tour withing 3 days of eachother. but one will be the last show of the tour, so i'm hoping for something sick.

as for the summer tour. i thought it was excellent, minus some problems with the SU material, but not really too many problems.

i mean, we got a lot of say goodbye, 34, LIOG, hell they even whipped out hallowee, butterfly, blackbird.

i think this tour will show some good stuff, we just have to wait a little

They can't play last stop without fucking it up, IBYU was around in 04, cry freedom was around in 04, so right, i do'nt think will ever come back, but i'm probably wrong, 34 came back, so anything is possible. they rotate their catalog.

and please do walk out...more room for a less bitchy fan who sits there with their arms crossed when they play something they've already heard that isn't dreaming tree, spoon, 34 or let you down.

for 10 years I've watched this band in concert. I've never been disappointed. I don't like the album Stand Up but I like the live versions of the songs and those that I don't like that's when I go take a piss. FOr the record, I still don't like Satellite and Crash but I don't get all bent out of shape when they play them at a show I'm at

I understand what you are saying especially after this last album but I think BTCS is there best album and there have been some great songs like: Bartender, Captain, Fool to Think, So Damn Lucky, Stay or Leave, What you Are and Grey Street.

As far as the setlists are concerned, they need to scrap Everyday and Where are you going. I really don't get why they play it so much. Do they really like it or are they doing it just to amuze the people that go to concerts that aren't as familiar with their songs.

They need to get BOWA, Minarets, Recently, Rhyme and Reason and Drive in Drive out more involved in their setlists.

I agree BUT BOWA, Recently, R&R and DIDO were staples for years before this year. I've got a lot of live shows where those songs are on just about every one.

You are right about Rhyme and Reason. I didn't realize it had been played that much until I looked at dmbalmanac. It seems like I can never catch that song live. But BOWA has definitely not been played enough('04-10, '03-5, '02-0, '01-9)

BOWA should stay a somewhat rarity, it's much better that way in my opinion.
