look at the set so far from tonight...
Pantala Naga Pampa
Rapunzel
Dream Girl
Don’t Burn The Pig
Stand Up
Crash
Hunger For The Great Light
What Would You Say
American Baby Intro
Bartender
One Sweet World
Where Are You Going
Bayou
Linus and Lucy Theme
Steady As We Go
Dancing Nancies
--------------------
Christmas Song
Old Dirt Hill
Everyday
I went to both the first shows of this tour and ive heard 90% of all the songs so far. its really pathetic. DMB has got to make a change or they will lose alot of the "old" fans

they might piss off the fans. but really, i think we're still going to go see DMB even if the sets stay like this for a while.
although i agree that they are being very repetative this year with their sets. there are almost no surprised, and they are very predictable.
it's still early in the tour, we can still hope for some change. but really, it's not that bad IMO. minus Crash, all of those songs are decent, and i wouldn't mind hearing them

what are the odds they bring out pig a lot this tour. i hope this isn't just a one show thing. i want to hear it.
hosting the oscars is like winning the heisman trophy. no matter how you do in the ballgame, or whatever, they can't take it away from you. and even if you kill your wife and an ex-waiter, they still have a hard time taking it away from you

Not only the first three shows, It has been happening since the first show this last summeri like tictacs wrote:Add linus and lucy in there.
IT IS THREE SHOWS INTO THE TOUR. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TOUR. Every tour someone finds a way to bitch how the first three sets are similar, or have some rough spots. And by the end of the tour, everyone is all 'ohmigod great set.'

i wish dmb had stopped making music in 1994. then every year, year after year we could hear nothing but the old stuff. because the the old stuff is so good and rare and it's only cool to see them when they play the old stuff.
have any of you really looked over the setlists from this past summer and so far for the fall/winter? sure the SU songs make up the largest single percentage of songs played, but they play a majority of non-SU songs every single show. variety is what has kept this band around for almost 15 years and is what has allowed them to grow as a band.
if you think the setlists suck, or the music sucks, or the new album blows, fine. stop listening and leave it be, it's not 1994 anymore
