Whats the odds of being able to get an autograph of the band members entering or exiting a venue?

Do they get stormed by fans?

When I was walking to the parking garage after the Target Center show this winter, Carters bus drove by and they ended at a stop light, he opened his window and me and a couple people in the area came over and gave him high fives and talked. but i didnt get an autograph

i hung out outside where their busses park this summer at the show i went to. there were maybe 20 people around after the show. a few folks we talked to said a decent amount of the time if there aren't too many people out waiting, the guys will come out and talk for a few minutes. we didin't get that, but dave's bus pulled out and he was up in the front with the driver waving

Yeah at the hartford shows, Carter's bus was leaving and he was opened the window and started waving at everyone that was around...it was pretty damn cool

It was sweet when they were hanging out the window after SPAC last summer.

i've seen them several times after the show drive by in their busses and wave. but i've tried a bunch of times to meet them, and never even come close. ever.

i think it's pretty damn rare that they'll come out and talk to you or sign autographs. but it's still worth the try

a friend of mine talked to dave and his wife for a while after the NO show this summer.
dave come out to thank my friend for coming from italy to the show (there was a a huge "From Rome to NO for DMB" on his t-shirt).

my wife and i happened to be staying at the same hotel as the band several years ago...the hotel would not let people into the building who were not guests, but many people waited outside the hotel before the show and as the band members boarded their buses, they all took pictures and signed autographs for a few minutes before they headed to the venue...

yeah I was not happy. It was the last show ever at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. I was 2nd row center. I had it but it was like the tail end and then I got bumped from behind and it fell out.

I met 2 girls last night who pretty much ran into Dave as they were on their way to the bathroom. They looked at him, he waved and said "Hey, guys," shook their hands, and chatted for a second. They said he was really nice and how they were totally starstruck.
