Having trouble with new elixir bronze?
Ok, I have gotten 3 pairs of these things in the past moth and had them break. The first set i got i had my guitar in open E (except it was droped down to D so open D???) so the strings where looser then they are in standard tuning. The second set i had they where in standard tuning and i had had those on my guitar for about 4 days... Well, i got pissed and started thinking that maybe it was my guitar so i took it into the guitar store and had it checked out and they said it was fine that they where probably bad strings. Well, like a dumbass i got another set of them (because i liked the sound so much). I had them on there for about a week and today i was tuning my guitar down to D to do an open tuning again and the fucking G string broke as i was tuning it down... Has anyone else been having problems with those new phospher bronze's breaking? Because at this point I really think that either-
A. By some strange chance the God's hate me and i got 3 bad packs of strings in a row.
B. There is something fucked up about those new strings..
Either way i'm not getting them anymore, i pay extra for elixirs because they have in the past lasted forever and still sound ok after being on a guitar for a month or 2. For now I'm going back to Polyweb until elixir get's their act together on those new strings. I'm not saying you shouldnt buy these, they are great strings and sound great, but for me im done with them for a while, that's almost $40 ive spent on strings in a month...

See that's what i thought but it checked out at the guitar store and the guys an official taylor certified repairman. From what it looks like to me, the string just came unravled, that's why i'm not buying these anymore for w while, im just pissed...Coldchillin23222 wrote:If it's at the bridge, it might not be the strings.

The exact same thing has been happening to me with nanowebs. I've gone through 7 strings in the past month. So, $60 later, I'm sitting here with some strings that I can't count on to last.mattinbeloit wrote:See that's what i thought but it checked out at the guitar store and the guys an official taylor certified repairman. At first I thought it was the tuning changes, and whatnot, but I've noticed that the strings are unravelling rather than breaking.
<--- Not a happy man.

the vaginal fluid they are secreting is the same composition of urine minus the uric acid and phosphorous. i learned that in 11th grade anatomy. btw, sometimes it does have a FAINT smell of Pizzle.

I would honestly write or call elixir, tell them how much you enjoy their strings, tell them youve always bought from them and dont mind the high-end price because they are a quality product, but as of lately have had some bad encounters with them and if things keep at this pace youll have to take your business elsewhere. They value customers and dont want negative WOM, theyll probably hook you up.

You've been watching the movie Summer School a little too much, but I bet it works.jsgksu wrote:I would honestly write or call elixir, tell them how much you enjoy their strings, tell them youve always bought from them and dont mind the high-end price because they are a quality product, but as of lately have had some bad encounters with them and if things keep at this pace youll have to take your business elsewhere.
