New song - JME
I wrote this song recently and got a chance to record it.
It's kinda odd but I like it. All comments welcome.
It's called JME.

I dig it. What chords did you use?

so sorry i missed this. i haven't been around much lately.
this is definetly a step away from your usual stuff. props to you for that, everything i write seems to sound the same.
i like the verses a lot, a little dissonant but still very enjoyable. But i really like the chorus. i think the harmony parts could use a little tidying up, but they definetly work well w/ the song.
your voice wasn't as powerful as it usally is until the last 5 seconds of the song. don't know if you did that on purpose or not, it's not like it sounded bad or was out of tune or anything, just seemed a bit quieter.
anyway, it's not my favorite one, but then again i think it's goign to be hard to beat this life. anyway, i really really like it. good job. and sorry again i missed it.
ps. i probably wouldn't have posted comments on your gravedigger or 41 cover

the guitar is very original. I like it man. Something about the overall vocal thats really interesting. Well done man.
and i agree, i'd like to see more energy in the vocal like the last 5 seconds. at appropriate spots of course

Mostly, I just overdubbed the harmonies. Also I wasn't too bothered with the recording of this one. It was more of a song writing exercise.jellyfish wrote:If I heard a cleaner recording of it I would comment. So far it sounds good, but Im used to your "good" recording equipment
Is this live?
No, but please start a fan club. Seriously......slimerdmb24 wrote:Would you be offended if I told you I have a mancrush on you?
Great job. Very creative, outside the box. I think you could kick the multitracked vocals though.

Miguel - thanks for sharing your newest work. I really enjoyed it. The groove reminded me of the sort of song that you hear from a joint walking the city late at night and although you're not planning on stopping in anywhere, you just have to go in and check out the guy playing and singing.
:53-:56 - "Make it all worthwhile..." was perfect.
2:22-2:24 - If you could extend that "yeahhh..." and give it some more of that awesome power you have in your voice, I think that would really add a lot to the latter part of this song.
The only vocal part that really stood out to me as much weaker than you're capable of is at 1:10-1:12.
If I recall correctly, you recently purchased a Larivee, right? If so, you use that on this tune or the Martin? (Disregard if I'm confusing your guitars with someone else).
