I got mine from nicholsguitars as well as my rosewood tuner buttons. It was around $75 for the TRC, but honestly, I dont think youre going to get custom, handmade work for any cheaper than that. Nor will you find anything of better quality, I couldnt be happier with what he produced for me:

You can choose any kind of wood you want, so you could get it in ebony.

Bill Nichols has discontinued making the 'Firedancer' TRCs, due to the fact there are so many knockoffs on the market today. He doesnt want people to think that the knockoffs are of his work. However, I did find another site that made an ebony firedancer TRC for me.

http://www.custominlay.com

You can have the firedancer made for any model TRC and any wood or inlay material

When I got my early model SST, I thought about getting a firedancer TRC for it. Being so pleased with Bill's last work I sent him an email. He responded back saying he has discontinued producing the firedancer TRC because of the fact that there are many knockoffs on the market today that he doesnt want people to think that its his work. I would send him an email, it cant hurt to try

Does anyone what site allows free website to post images? I was thinking about posting some pics of my guitars. Thanks!

Yes, it would have to be glued on.

Or just screwed into your headstock, you could probably get one made without screw holes in it if you just wanted to glue it.

yes i emailed him and he responded with...

Hi Ross,
I have stopped making any TRCs with the Firedancer inlay. I've just done too many of them.
Is there anything else that I could do for you?

custominlay.com only offers the firedancer for taylor guitars, and i want one for a gibson

thats too bad. I wonder if all the people who got them were members of this site or people that found out about him through us.
