Stay or Leave played differently on SD Bonus Disc?
Has anyone noticed that when he goes into "Remember we use to dance . . ." the second time that he plays something different? I'm not sure what it is exactly, but it sounds like the "What to do part . . ." maybe??? not sure. But there is a pause then a slide then another pause -> slide. It sounds really cool weither it was a mess up or not. Being that it was at the end of the tour, maybe it was a change him and timmy made. If you haven't noticed it, check it out, its alot better sounding as far as the time change in that part of the song. If anyone figures it out please post it, if not, i guess we'll see it on the dvd if they release it.

I really like it. He covers it up well in my opinion. I like the sliding that either him or tim is doing. Its nice becuase the song is only two verses and then he just repeats the same thing over again so it adds a different sound to the song so it isn't too repeatitive. Well anyway, good mess up Dave!!!!! I'm gonna figure it out and start playing it that way.

It shows that they are human, and are good at recovering from a mistake. I'd rather hear one where they are able to recover from a mistake, and still make the song great.subotai wrote:I dont know why they use a version where one of them messes up. Thats lame.
(like And Your Bird Can Sing - the Beatles, of the anthology 2 cds. John just keeps hitting the wrong notes, and is laughing so hard trying to sing the lyrics. I love that more than the final take on Revolver).

Maybe it wasn't a mess up . . .maybe they just felt like being creative and trying something new. I'm sure they have other recordings they could have use. But oh well, who really cares, it sounds good. I think this thread has run its course now.subotai wrote:I dont know why they use a version where one of them messes up. Thats lame.

Actually, no. If you read the little booklet thing, they were actually doing vocal overdubs, and nobody is quite sure why they start laughing.Ranting Thespian wrote:(like And Your Bird Can Sing - the Beatles, of the anthology 2 cds.
