I used a Line 6 Pod [the green one] to get those effects and I used a volume pedal with it for the swells.

I thought tim used (especially back in those days) a couple of Boss-DD5's for all his delay needs.

He has both the Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler and the Boss DD-5 Digital Delay (I think he uses the Boss more for his delays). For the high pitched sound I'm assuming you talking about his Ernie Ball Mono Volume Pedal (it sounds like a violin)

I have both the Boss DD-6 (the DD-5 is now discontinued) and the Ernie Ball Volume Pedal and love them.

For all of tim's setup - http://www.timreynolds.com/setup/

Hope I help

Back in the L@LC days Tim was using a Boss DD-5 Digital Delay and a volume pedal, which I believe at the time was a Morley when he played with Dave. And then of course the slide. A lot of the sounds during #41 are using the volume pedal in conjuction with the DD-5 set on a very short delay that gives almost a reverb type effect.
